what did I learn this year
A few reflections:
problems happen; mitigation plans are the next step and turns a failure into a success
having your heart in it (or your mind) does in fact make a difference
if you work hard, relax easy; no one will give you a break like yourself
protect your people ahead of your projects, and you’ll still get there
and also:
“enough is as good as a feast” - Kim Stanley Robinson, and also Sir Thomas Mallory?
missing someone is a form of love and sharing that feeling is a form of bonding
your hobbies do not have to be monetized to be valuable
you need to have a relationship with yourself before you can change yourself
time really does move more quickly the older you get
carry an umbrella on rainy days
putting yourself first doesn’t mean you’re putting others down
clean the apartment, your space shapes your mood
there isn’t enough compassion out there; cultivate yours
I’m wishing you all a restful and fun end of year, and peace for all.
